THE MARBLING TECHNIQUE: Explore the fascinating art of marbling with Pébéo's Marbling colour painting set. They are used according to a simplified technique inspired by Japanese marbling on rice paper in the eleventh century (Sumi nagashi), and later on in Europe by 19th century bookbinders.
APPLICATION AND SURFACES: Prepare the thickener bath with the Marbling Bath Auxiliary included in this set and apply the drops of colour to its surface. Transfer the colours on the surface of the bath to your light-coloured substrate (fabric, paper, card, recycled paper, wood, plaster, etc.) by simple contact. On fabric, the colours are fixed with an iron after drying.
